Canyon Trail

The Canyon Trail is a 1.4 mile woodland hiking trail in Fairfield North. We recommend that you park at the Water Tower parking lot. The trail is generally downhill from the water tower to the north catoosa parking lot but with one steady uphill climb around the mid-point. The trail passes through the "Catoosa Canyon" a collection of large rock formations.

There is parking at both ends of the trail: the Northern Catoosa Parking Lot and the Water Tower Parking Lot.

Rating: Moderate

If you park at the Good Samaritan parking lot you will see the water tower along the short track.

You start down the Rotherham Trail but after a short distance you reach the main intersection and turn right on the Canyon Trail.

Hikers heading down the trail into the "Canyon."

There are two short bridges across the drainage ditches on the west side........

........and east side of Catoosa Boulevard.

The north Catoosa Boulevard parking lot holds about a dozen vehicles.
