About the Center for Lifelong Learning

The purpose of the Center for Lifelong Learning will be to enrich the lives of adults, especially seniors, through continued learning.

The Center for Lifelong Learning is being set up by an temporary Executive Committee consisting of Judy Wade, Holly Hanson and John Conrad. A curriculum Committee, Chaired by Judy Wade is selecting class topics and finding teachers.

The first Class Catalog will be published on September 1st, 2019. The first classes will be offered in October and November 2019. Most classes will be held at the Crossville Campus of the Roane State Community College.

The Center for Lifelong Learning will be a membership organization starting in 2020. The Board of Directors will set the annual membership fee which is expected to be in the $50 to $100 range.

The classes offered in 2019 will be free but in 2020 the classes will only be open to members who have paid the annual membership fee.

By the end of 2019 a full Board of Directors should be in place to take over responsibility for the operation of the Center in accordance with a set of By-laws and the temporary Executive Committee will be disbanded. Some time in 2020, after the membership is in place, elections will be held for all the Board Member positions.
